About
Jessica Kuhn is an artist and curator based in Amsterdam and London. Her practice explores how systems of value, perception, and authorship are constructed and destabilized. Working across installation, film, sculpture, and performance, she creates interventions that reframe familiar structures, consumer spaces, family narratives, public moments into sites of tension, humor, and vulnerability.
Kuhn’s works often occupy thresholds between the intimate and the institutional, the authentic and the commodified. Her approach frequently involves replication and appropriation of retail environments, advertising language, or art historical references. By inserting her work into these systems, she challenges notions of communication and the mechanisms through which meaning is assigned.
She is currently based in Amsterdam.
