P004 → Black Hole, 2024

Interactive installation
Duration - 1 day
Projection, photobooth

Black Hole is an interactive installation first presented at DRIFT, a philosophy festival in Amsterdam. Aimed at an audience of philosophers, the installation invites participants into a photo booth featuring a chair with a hole, through which a camera protrudes. By pressing a button, they take a photo, which is then uploaded into a generative softwear that creates an endless galactic black hole animation, composed of these intimate images. A new photo was  created almost every minute. The installation explores the tension between the personal and public, the absurdity of philosopher’s existential tendencies, and the metaphorical "black holes" we all carry within us.
