Gap

A short film that follows the artist's uncle reunion with his own father after nearly 25 years apart. The film opens in Germany, portraying his mother’s struggle with dementia to the point where she no longer recognises anyone in her family, including herself. Then it abruptly transitions to the day of the reunion in Mineralnye Vody, Russia. The father is faced with the emotional weight of the situation and only manages to show his achievements in painting. The film was recorded by the artist herself.
