Men In My Life

Visitors enter a replica of an IKEA showroom: letters spelling out “Mix & Match”, colour swatches, a publication in disguise as a product catalogue, five paintings sliding along a movable rack. Each painting portrays a different man of the artist’s life, starting with her biological father and ending with her latest love relationship at the time. The personal paintings dealing are in contrast presented in a commercial space stripped of intimacy. Turning the paintings into decoration.
